Important Collection Of Old Religious Items

This is a collection of several old religious pieces and a paper fan. There is a small repousse rosary box with rosary beads and a celluloid covered prayer book written in Italian. An interesting antique Russian Orthodox religious icon of Mother of God Joy of All Who Sorrow. This piece is 5.5" x 7" and is painted on a wood panel. Also is a very old wood and paper slide lid painted box. It has a painting of Imam 'Ali and his two sons (Hasan and Husayn) on the inside, a mirror, as well as, Islamic writing. The box has very intricate details with some loss. Ali was considered by Shia Muslims to be the first Imam, the rightful religious and political successor to Muhammad. This box has suffered some loss and damage.
