According to the publication Seacoastonline.com Joseph Frost was, "A businessman and lifelong enthusiast and advocate for American history and literature, Frost was a direct descendant of Lt. Gen. Sir William Pepperrell, Bt., celebrated victor of the battle of Louisbourg in 1745, and also the cousin and lifelong friend of the great American poet Robert Frost." Items from the Frost Family Estate, Kittery, ME. Various items collected by, given to and saved by the Frost family including items from Robert Frost, AB Frost including artist proofs for framing, George Frost, John Frost, Martin Frost, numerous original oil paintings from various well known artist, numerous etchings & lithographs & prints, large collection of ephemera, artwork, books, first editions and author inscribed, and novelties. World War One (WWI) posters, 1800's land grants, miscellaneous documents too many to describe. Signed documents and autographs spanning 200 years; Presidents, political, military officials, authors, sports figures, and much more. Numerous First Edition and author signed tomes. There will be a preview prior to the auction date. The auction itself will be totally online with shipping available. Although some of the rarities will have minimum opening bids the vast majority of lots will begin at only $15 with a 20% Buyer's Premium added to the final hammer price. Since the auction takes place in New Hampshire there is no sales tax.
