Medium-sized African antelope frequenting wet grassland habitats.
Males have heavily-ribbed lyre-shaped horns and very muscular necks.
Very fine example taken under license in Zambia in 1989.
Outstanding taxidermy by Nico von Rooyen, South Africa.
Classic shoulder mount, head turned slightly right.

Horn length: Right 18 inches, Left 17-1/2 inches
Base circumference: 6-3/4 inches
Spread tip-to-tip: 10-1/2 inches
Overall measurements of taxidermy mount:
Base: width 11 inches, height 14 inches.
Vertical height bottom of base to horn tips: 36 inches
Horizontal width between ears: 15 inches
Horizontal projection, back of base to tip of nose: 21 inches
