Item Description

Painting is framed in a shadow box style. Image is 3.25" x 4.25". Frame is 12" x 12.75". Family noted on the back "Paul Rubens Frost by his father George Abbott Frost" which is actually not correct in that his father's name is George Albert Frost. Paul Rubens Frost was born in 1883 and it would be a reasonable assumption that the painting was done after George Albert Frost's return from his second Siberian expedition or around 1885-1886.

There is a similar Frost painting of a Mongolian girl which was done during the Siberian expedition. This lot is number 1 in this auction.
