An significant group of coin/sterling silver serving spoons. All are engraved with various members initials of the Frost family. # 1: Spoon with silversmith's mark: "W.C." which is the mark of William Cleveland, a silversmith who practiced in Norwich Ct before 1792; # 2: Spoon with silversmith's mark: I or T DAVID which a definitive listing cannon be found for: #3: Spoon with silversmith's mark: "A.WAKEFIELD." & "GREAT FALLS" which was a name used for Somersworth NH in the 1800's. Albert Wakefield practiced using this mark from 1860-1867. #4: Spoon with silversmith's mark: "N. & T. FOSTER" who was Nathanial and Thomas Foster who practiced in Newburyport, MA from 1823 - 1887; # 5: Spoon with silversmith's mark: "J.H. CLARK" who was Joseph H. Clark who practiced in Portsmouth, NH from 1830-1860; # 6 & 7; two spoons with silversmith's mark: "WOLCOTT & GELSTON" who were Maltby Gelston and Henry Wolcott who practiced in Boston, MA from 1820-1860. Interestingly, they used English type Sterling marks for their spoons.
