Item Description

Following tradition of the male "Bull" family members, Robert Wesley Bull (1922-) pursued his higher education at Dartmouth College. Unfortunately WWII would interrupt this with Robert being drafted to serve his country. In the tradition of his father, Robert joined the Navy, returning to Dartmouth at the end of his service. In 1945 Robert Bull wax recruited to work with Lt. Commander Maurice Constant for his project of assembling photographic portraits of the living great men of WWII, both Military and civilian for President FDR. In the 1950's Robert Bull set up a photographic studio in Hanover, New Hampshire where he would be come renown for his photography related to Dartmouth College. Bull was an avid skier which eventually opened the door for him to become a sports photographer, producing photographs and movies of various international sports events including the Olympics and professional boxing.

The lot consists of 1942 Government letter regarding physical, 1942 notice to appear for physical, and 1943 order to report for induction.

All are in good to very good condition.
