Limited edition, 226 to 756 printed on "Velin a la main" by Vanna, hand-colored margins. Original aquarelles by May Neama.

Guérin was truly original and was hailed as innovative, whose prose poems like Le Centaure were truly original texts and founders of their kind. George Sand first brought Guérin to the notice of the public in a remarkable article in the review of the Two Worlds, in which Sand defended the originality of the young poet. Guérin's premature death from tuberculosis was not an unfamiliar fate among many of his contemporaries, especially George Sand. Unread, with original watercolor illustrations by Edmond Vairel. A superb example of fine press production in Paris, remarkable when you consider the circumstances of the war.
