Item Description

Lot contains two Photo books:
The American Space, Meaning in Nineteenth-Century Landscape Photography. Edited and with Notes by Daniel Wolf, Introduction by Robert Adams. Photographs are taken by amateur and profession photographers employed by the government surveys or from selling photos to tourist from 1984 to 1903. Photos include Minneconyon Sioux Village in Nebraska, Sage Bush Desert, Sequoias in Mariposa Grove, the Grand Canyon of Colorado, and Dale Creek Bridge of the Union Pacific Railway. Hardcover with dust jacket, first edition, 1983.
