George C. Bridges, copyright, 1940. Remarkable illustrated overview of mid century MEMPHIS. Light wear, cover creased, rubbed. Plastic comb spine in good condition. A Memphis Historical Society website describes this book as: This Memphis Photo book was published by George C. Bridges in 1940. The photos are by W. Hayley and Frank Hitchings. There are 140 pages in the book and all but 4 pages are full of photos covering every aspect of life in Memphis. Take a look at the "unintentional racist caption" on the last photo in the book (page 140).
