Campfire & Battlefield, An Illustrated History Of The Civil War By Rossiter Johnson - First Edition 1894

Offered today is a harder to find book by Rossiter Johnson from 1894. This first edition copy of "Campfire and Battlefield" - An Illustrated History of The Campaigns and Conflicts of The Great Civil War was produced by The Williams and Cox Company of New York. Fully illustrated between blue boards with gilt images and 551 clean and damage free pages. Binding is tight and so is the spine - tiny crack in front end piece ((see picture) and normal rubbing to cover of this larger book - measures 13 x 11 inches. No writing in the book and it is not ex-library. I did notice one little nick on the picture of Lincoln bit otherwise looks pretty darn good. Loaded with images and facts this book is often confused with others by similar names and it has also recently been republished around 1999 - THIS IS THE ORIGINAL PRINTING.
