Item Description

Weston Naef’s landmark publication The Collection of Alfred Stieglitz: Fifty Pioneers of Modern Photography, and 2 other trade paperbacks. Featuring striking images by artists like Paul Strand, Edward Steichen and Georgia O’Keeffe, Naef’s volume memorialized both Stieglitz’s prescient eye for talent and his impact shepherding photographers later considered masters of their era. The book accompanied a 1978 exhibition of the Stieglitz collection curated by Naef at the National Gallery of Art in Washington D.C.
