Half leather over marbled boards; spine stamped in gilt with binder's title Cook's Life. Mid-spine superficially cracked without loss to support; gutters tender but holding. First printing of this Dublin edition of THE LIFE OF CAPTAIN JAMES COOK, abridged for young readers from the biography by Andrew Kippis. The wood-engraved frontispiece is a portrait of a facially tattooed South Sea warrior. Includes clipping of original bookseller's catalogue; elaborate heraldic bookplate with contemporary signature in Inc below, slightly illegible though beautiful hand. Reference BEDDIE 1983.

    Winning bidders have 30 DAYS to schedule an appointment and pickup their items. Lots Not Picked Up During The 30 Day grace period will incur a $5 a day storage Fee Per Lot .
    After 14 Days Items will be forfeited without refund....We need at least 24 hours from the day you call to pull your items. We can not pull items the same day you call.
    Winning bidder is responsible for supplying all labor and materials required for pickup and removal of their items. We will Not Assist in loading of Your item.
