This is an incredible piece of history! Produced by N. Currier in the Clerk's office of the District Court of the Southern District of New York in 1846, this scarce lithograph is quite a find. It features General Z. Taylor, who is titled "The Hero of the Rio Grande". It is in an excellent wooden period frame that has a lot of character. There is some staining damage to the top of lithograph as can be seen in the photos. There are also a few small tears that are noticeable under the glass. The frame has rubbing to the original gold gilt interior, and some normal scratches to the wood - but it's sturdy and has lots of life left.
Overall, it measures 12" wide by 14" tall.
