Japanese Late Edo Period Porcelain Plate, Blue & White Landscape With Celadon Edges, Arita Ware Porcelain

This is a lovely piece of Japanese ceramics! It has a scalloped edge, which is glazed in a celadon green color -commonly used in Japanese ceramics. The central design is an octagonal landscape scene in blue & white. It is most likely from the Arita region - which features blue & white scenes with the use of celadon glazing. It has a large chip at the the edge on the top, and smaller chip at the bottom edge. It has a couple of small chips on the rim of the base as well. It measures about 9" wide.
