Incredible Antique Portrait Of George Washington, Engraved By William E. Marshall, Scarce Proof Edition Framed

This is a truly stunning engraving of George Washington. It was produced by William E. Marshall, and created based off the original portrait (and one of the most famous portraits!) of George Washington by Gilbert Stuart that was in the Boston Athenaeum. It includes a plate signature by Washington. It is marked as "proof" edition of the etching, which is quite scarce.

It is nicely framed and double matted - with some scuffs and scratches to the frame. Overall, the etching itself is in good condition.
