This was chaos. I got there at 10:00am and left around 1:00pm. I echo the same experience that another buyer left on the June 26th event.
I had to go inside more than 20 times to get things that were located all over the place.
There were many lots that were not presented to me and some lot that I won that were divided and I was not aware so I missed on having those.
I lost over $50, if not more, because I felt rushed, even after taking more than 2 hours to get my things, because there was a big line of people that were mad and I guess I was part of their delays, but in fact was the fact that everything was located everywhere around the house instead of all lots being in one place.
I asked for a refund but was informed that because I signed the paper that said that I received everything, even when they were aware that they didn't showed it to me. I felt pressured to sign because of all the looks from more than 20 people that were waiting in line for over 45 minutes it one of the hottest day.
I was even accused of taking someone's lot. I was chased to my car and told that I took it and they went thru my whole lot, that was on the side of the house, on the floor, and when they couldn't find it asked me if it was in the car. I knew what they were talking about cause I saw it earlier and even went inside to show the staff and the owner of the lot where it was located. Can you believe that? i spent so much time in that house that I kind of new where everything was.
I felt sorry for the staff that had a real hard time with the organization of this. It was chaos, mainly because a lot of people didn't follow the rules that were posted on the auction but I think they should have done better. like one person would take care of whomever was there with 1 to 3 items... another for those with 3 to 10 and another one of 10 or more, that way someone that was there to pick up one piece could have left not wait 1.5 hours.
I like everything I won but was very disappointed that the main things that I wanted were left behind and no refund given, even after I was very educated and patient with the whole process and was in continues communication via text.
I don't think is the auctioneers fault that I wasn't even considered for a refund since, a least, for lots were left behind and I was not aware. I know it was my responsibility to make sure I receive all of them but when you have a mob of angry and frustrated people looking at you going in and out, in and out while they are outside, directly on the sun, you kind of feel the pressure to take what you can and leave before someone takes his anger on you.
The lack of internet service on my phone, because of the area, made everything way more difficult and I asked 2 times for a Wifi password and I was not given one.
Lesson learned for the next time I encounter something like this but I hope that next time they can be more understanding of the situation.

pick up was a nightmare and took hours.

On a positive note, I liked the items I purchased, and they were truly bargains. But the pickup experience was an absolute nightmare, and it was certainly not worth the time, effort and aggravation at pickup.
The way they did pick up was - there was a 3 hour window on a Saturday, which is similar to all of the other auctionninja sellers although some sellers have longer pickup windows. Other sellers do this relatively efficiently (for example, by coordinating all purchases of a given buyer and placing them together in one spot (which is only logical), and some sellers go the extra mile and box up lots to facilitate pickup and minimize aggravation all around, but my experience with TCC was just terrible and it's as though they never did an auction before and never thought about how to do a pickup efficiently or even just logically.
Each buyer had to go into the very messy and unorganized cluttered house and search the house to find one of their auction lots. Then they had to gather their items and see staff to approve each item in the lot, then take the lot out to their car themselves, go back and get the next lot, get it approved, and so on until each person had all their lots. Then, they had to go find someone else to sign out. And only then could the next buyer could go in. Add on top that, the exit door where we were supposed to carry our items out was not working properly and blocked you on the porch with a tight railing which had to be navigated around, making it unnecessarily difficult and creating a safety hazard.
On a 90+ degree day, we all waited in line for over an hour and a half! Each of us presented a "problem solving idea" but the auction staff were annoyed at us for having the audacity to try to help.
What made it entirely impossible was that only one person was allowed in the house at a time and staff would not help. Eventually, the rules were changed so we were allowed to send "one volunteer" to go in the house with a buyer to carry out heavy things like furniture. One older lady had a huge dresser on the 3rd floor (winding staircase). A buyer in the back of the line had to do it for her as the staff would not help. Aside from human decency and the camaraderie of sharing in the awful experience, the motivation for buyers to help was, "I don't think I can wait, let me help you so we can move this process along; I have another auction pickup I have to get to" (and personally, I had to get to work and was late as a result of the chaos). I would not have expected picking up four items to take 2 hours but that's what happened. Several people left their items behind, and I hope they received a full refund.
So, it was a total disaster. Not to mention the street was completely blocked with everyone's parked cars and the Amazon delivery guy was having a fit and I thought it would come to fisticuffs, so the poor pickup process was not only problematic for the auctionninja customers, it was disrespectful to the community in general.

A NOTE ABOUT EXTENDED BIDDING ("SOFT CLOSE")TCC online auctions feature extended bidding (a.k.a. "soft close"). Is is the closest way to mimic the actions of an auctioneer (in a live auction) in an online/automated format. During a live auction, the auctioneer gives bidders opportunities to increase their bids before hammering the winning bid (when there is no further interest in the lot). Our online, automated system will automatically extend the closing time of a lot (auction item) whenever a bid is placed within the last five minutes of its scheduled closing to allow other interested bidders an opportunity to increase their bid (if the wish to do so). This may occur multiple time on any given lot depending on bidder interest. Once all interest and bidding in a lot ceases, the clock will run out and the lot will close.
