Antique Framed Vintage Pastel Painting Signed R. Casas, Fine Art Modernist Painting Portrait Of Woman

This is a pastel painting, circa 1900’s. The canvas is signed "R. Casas," and the back is marked "Ramon Casas Carbo (1866-1932)," "A Young Woman," and "Pastel." Ramon Casas was a Spanish artist known for his contributions to the Art Nouveau movement, particularly in Catalonia. Some of his work has sold in Spain auctions for $500,000+. While the authenticity of this piece is uncertain, it has been well-preserved and is in good overall condition.

The painting comes with the original frame that measures 34" x 25". This piece measures 30" x 21" and is a pastel painting.

Its provenance traces back to an estate sale of a wealthy owner from Old Westbury, NY (Long Island).
