Virginia Metalcrafters Colonial Williamsburg Governors Palace Pewter Chandelier

You are considering an extremely rare Colonial Williamsburg Restoration Governors Palace pewter 8 arm electric chandelier made by Virginia Metalcrafters. The epitome of Williamsburg lighting this chandelier is engraved RM 1726, as was the original, and is in the antique finish. Made of numerous pewter sand castings, it is decorated with a turned crown central spire, a bowl base and 8 scrolled arms with detailed candle cups. It is being sold with its matching pewter canopy. The electrical wiring is in working condition, however, as with all pre-owned lighting it should be tested and possibly rewired for safety. Measures approximately 20" high x 28 1/4" wide. It is hallmarked on an arm with the Colonial Williamsburg Restoration trademark and the Virginia Metalcrafters foundry mark and it retains its original Virginia Metalcrafters label. A 1990 Williamsburg price list shows it as i tem number CW12891/101634 with a retail value of $ 1,940.00
