Sterling Silver Wooden Box With Hinged Lid By Poole Silver Co.

Sterling Silver small rectangular-shaped wooden desk box with hinged lid by Poole Silver Co., as evidenced by the maker's mark on the underside of the box. Dates back to 1930s-1940s in the American art deco era. The surface of the box has a smooth, flat top and is elevated slightly by four small feet at each corner. It opens at the lid to reveal a natural cedar wood interior, with grooves along a center seam where a divider may have been. Signs of tarnish are visible, particularly around the edges and corners.
