Vintage sterling silver covered serving plate by Gorham, American sterling silversmiths, as evidenced by the maker's mark on the plate's underside. The serving plate features a shallow dish, covered by a lid of the same size with finial arched handled top that when lifted, reveal the contents within. Decorative rope-like details line the edges of the two pieces. Some light tarnish on the outside consistent with age and usage, while the inside remains rather bright due to safekeeping.
