Set Of Two Sterling Silver Porringer Bowls With Handle -103g

Set of two sterling silver shallow porringer bowls each with a single ornate handle, resembling a budding flower. The shallow bowls were historically used to serve hot porridge in the 19th century. Many were crafted from pewter material but the inscription on the bottom of these ensure authenticity with a mark that reads: "Sterling." The bowls have some light tarnish on their surface, consistent with age and usage.
