Item Description

Set of two small decorative opera glasses, used as hand-held binoculars in theaters to enhance the view of the stage. These French-style opera glasses are crafted from chiseled mother-of-pearl material and have ornate brass or gold-colored metal detailing around the edges. One pair of glasses has a handle that extends to the side, making it more comfortable for the viewer to hold for long periods of time. Includes two small vintage carrying pouches. One pouch is labeled "Kaywoodie" – the name a smoking pipe offered by Kaufmann Bros. & Bondy Company (KB&B) in the early 20th century.
