Irwin Rosenhouse lived from 1924-2002. At the time of his death, Rosenhouse lived in Nassau County.
Rosenhouse illustrated a number of children's books, created woodcuts for religious and history books, posters for the Arab-Israeli Peace Conference: The Road to Peace, and various record album covers.
His works were shown in the Library of Congress, the Museum of Modern Art, The Brooklyn Museum and the San Francisco Museum of Art. His work is in the permanent collection of the Smithsonian Institution, Cooper Union Museum, Everhart Museum and the New York Public Library Print Collection. He was especially popular in New York City during his lifetime
