A fine and notable Biedermeier Style seven drawer chest by Guido Zichele, made in Italy for Bloomingdales. The chest is made from Cherry Wood with a fine and very attractive Poplar Burl facade having black trim. Very well crafted and having large dovetailed drawers with locks papered in a pleasing green background paper with tiny gold dots and sun symbols. A shaped top drawer over six long drawers. Metal shield form escutcheons with three keys. The original tag with the maker is included. One of the key hole cover plates is loose as shown.
