A fine and notable Biedermeier Style seven drawer chest by Guido Zichele, made in Italy for Bloomingdales. The chest is made from Cherry Wood with a fine and very attractive Poplar Burl facade having black trim. Very well crafted and having large dovetailed drawers with locks papered in a pleasing green background paper with tiny gold dots and sun symbols. A shaped top drawer over six long drawers. Metal shield form escutcheons with three keys. The original tag with the maker is included.
