Signed M. Cresson, Mid-18th Century. Of unusually large size, the flat, cartouche-shaped back with a molded border carved at the cresting with a flower spray and at the shoulders with stylized leaves; the shaped and padded armrests with voluted supports and the wide, deep seat with molded and shaped rails carved at the front with flower sprays; on the cabriole legs with a flower at each knee and scroll toes. Upholstered in yellow gold rectangular patterned fabric and dressed in lace border. loose cushion. Michel Cresson, M.E. 1740
