These 1890s brain-tanned deerskin leather men’s moccasins are a remarkable example of traditional Native American craftsmanship. Handcrafted with real sinew, these moccasins feature an intricate lazy stitch design created with a beautiful array of seed beads in White, White Center Red, Greasy Yellow, Cobalt Blue, and Transparent Green. The design completely covers the moccasins, including the cuffs and tongue flap, showcasing exceptional beadwork artistry.
The moccasins are finished with hard soles made from bison rawhide, providing durability and strength, and one moccasin retains the antiqued tin cones attached to the tongue flap, adding a distinct touch of authenticity. Both moccasins still have remnants of their original ties. Measuring 11.5 inches long by 4 inches wide, and standing 2.5 inches tall, they represent a beautifully preserved piece of Native American culture and history.
