This is a very colorful and handcrafted textile made of silk and cotton. It appears to be almost like a Jacard weaving. This could be used as a bed, cover, table cloth, or just an interesting throw.
It appears to have been made in Morocco or Turkey judging from the design. I was told it was purchased in the late 1890s along with a few other items in the sale on what they call the Grand Tour.
This was found in the trunk and appeared to have been there for quite some time. The house had no pets, no smoking so this piece of textile is in wonderful condition.
Measurements 70” x 90”
Notes: Very good condition. No holes no repairs, no odors, no pets, very clean house.
