We are selling a wonderful piece of African American Folk Art. This antique hand made bow tie quilt was made by the grandmother of the present owner/ family member. Made in North Carolina about 1900. Made from old scraps of cotton this quilt is a wonderful piece of history and a very good authentic example of Southern American Folk Art
Measurements 80” x 78”
PROVENANCE. Made by Wilma Milton born 1896 North Carolina, active in church and made several quilts for them. Moved to New Jersey. Made by the present owner Grandmother.
Notes: Good Condition, only minor stains throughout, age appropriate wear
