This whole Chinese dish is made in Canton China and is used for putting hot water in and keeping your food warm. Very ingenious idea. It has a spout and a vent hole to allow steam to come out. It’s very sturdy and rugged. There are no markings. This type of Canton is very popular during the Chinese export. Mid 1800s. As you can see, this dish is not perfectly round. This porcelain dishes in good condition.
