This is a fine work of a grouse bird by Jules Moigniez, a nineteenth century artist who was known for his highly detailed bird bronze sculptures with a silver plated exterior. This bronze is pictured in most art index’s .
The sculpture has significant patina around the birds head and neck, and can be polished up once brought back to your home. It is missing about 1 to 11/2” from the tip. You can hardly notice it.
Measurements: the base is approximately 8” in an oval diameter, and height from base to wing tip is approximately 10”.
Notes: Overall excellent condition please note that one of two wings has had a break/piece is not available
