Fine Antique Meissen Porcelain And Bronze Figural Lamp

Here is a wonderful example of a Meissen Porcelain tableau of a cherub with a birds, a kitten, and flowers with beautiful patinated bronze fittings, and a marble base.signature on back side.
We start with the marble base, which is variegated and I initiated, lighter, smoke, gray, and ivory.

The porcelain tableau is situated on top of a brass base, which is quite ornate. The figure of a cherub is holding one bird, while another bird is at the base of the angels left foot. There’s a Basket and a black and white kitten looking curiously at the bird that is being held. There are also larger than life flowers that surround the cherub and the cat.

From there we have a bronze fitting, which houses the flowers as well as the lamp fitting this has tendril vines on the fitting there’s a small brass finial on top .

And, as this is a very old fixture rewiring will be required to complete this magnificent lamp.

The Meissen stamp in blue is at the back lower end of the porcelain tableau, it will be a diminutive lamp that you will be sure to enjoy for years to come.

Measurements:
* the marble base being an oval and is approximately 6 inches
* the figure is approximately 5 inches in diameter and approximately 5 1/2 inches in height
* the total height of this layer is approximately 14 inches from base to top of finial.

Notes: Excellent overall antique condition. Please note there is a tiny chip of porcelain missing from the birds wing, that is by the cherubs left foot
