Here we have a very nice iron griddle from New England in the early 18th century noting the sprul on the base of the griddle.
This is exceptionally well made and has a uniform surface, and has three feet to hold this within the fire as was done many years ago.and measures 13.00” in diameter with 1.00”feet.
The handle is wrought iron , and is affixed to the griddle with hand wrought nails. The handle itself is uniform in shape, with a wrought iron hook which was used to suspend the griddle in the fireplace.
The wrought iron handle is approximately 27.00” if it were to be on one line, and from griddle to the base of the iron hook is approximately 9.00”
