Antique Musical French Mechanical Automaton Bird Of Paradise In A Brass Cage

Here we have an antique automaton bird of paradise in a brass cage.
The bird signs with a wind up key at the base of the cage, and is in good working condition. The bird, though being quite old has maintained the yellow and red-orange color of the feathers.
The brass cage is in excellent condition, and remains with a superb patina, and has no damage. Working condition Circa 1890-1910
Measurements : 12.50” in height x 5.25” in diameter, with the bird measuring approximately 5” from beak to end of tail..
