Here we have an alabaster Monteith bowl.
A Monteith bowl has the gentle ‘notches’ on the rim to let wine glasses to be inverted into chilled water, cooling the glasses for wine consumption.
This semi opaque bowl has been expertly carved and has tones of cream, peach, and gray veins throughout.
