Antique Art Nouveau Photograph Album With Original Photo Plates

This is a fabulous Art Nouveau photograph album with the first page inscription reading ‘From Edith J. and Frances H. Oakley Jan. 1906’.

This book has 16 heavy board constructed pages. There are 51 photographs that are included with this album.

The album itself is beautiful. The album has a covering in a deep emerald colored velvet with a leaf pattern in the velvet.

The front cover is celluloid, and has raised flowers , and a dream like lake with a stone bridge, swans, a thatched roof home, and a woman with arms raised to touch a large raised flower. There is slight damage to the raised figure of the woman by the base of her long dress and under the contour of her right arm.

There is also an ornate art brass clasp that holds the album in place. It is firmly fixed to the front and back of the album.

The album is 13.00” x 10.00” x 2.00”
