Antique 19th Century Wrought Iron Candlestick Holder

A lovely 19th century ornate candlestick holder. This item was hand wrought, and can hold various size candles.
This is an adaptation of a spring grip principal from Rush and Splint candleholders.
This ornate example has a leaf drip pan, and has beautiful swirls and turns on the shaft ending with a small heart.
The candle ring with its spring attachment allows for varying diameters of candles.
The tray of the base can hold water, which would extinguish any sparks. All blacksmith hand made.
This item measures approximately 19.00” in height & tray is approximately 5.00” x 5.75”.

It is an outstanding example of work done in bygone days.
