Wow!! A great zinc alloy, and plastic pigment coated bank. The base and spaceship is one cast piece, and has been painted in a metallic light blue-green, with a label at the base showing Schenectady Savings and Loan Association advertisement . There is a side slot opening for coins and could be retrieved at the underside of the base. This bank accepts the coin, the device moves however is not strong on propulsion in its present condition. Made by Duro Mold Mfg. In Detroit Mfg. Known as ‘The flying Saucer Bank’. It was created on/around 1956.
Measurements: 3-D 14 x 12.7 x 9 cm. ( 5 1/2” x 5” x 3 7/8”)
Notes: Overall very nice condition, the spinner is difficult to maneuver due to age.
