Important Historic Military Letter Signed By Daniel D Tompkins

This letter dated February 2, 1809 from the New York governor Daniel D Tompkins sent to Major general Benjamin Mooers discuss military matters and proper decisions sending troops to Champlain through the secretary of war. The end of the letter talks about 50,000 volunteers in preparation of fighting the British. Along with the letter is a photograph of major general, Benjamin Mooers.
