From the Howard/Fox family. Very well executed turn of the 18th century. The Taming of the shrew Shakespeare scene. Signature and lower right corner JUNQUA. Likely painted by an artist at J&J Boydell, Shakespeare Gallery, Pall Mall & No. 90, Cheapside St, London. This painting has signs of age and wear. One large repair and residue of label on back of the canvas. Please see photos for condition.
