Important 1830s Vermont coverlet signed and dated
M. BURT 1836. M. Burt was from Pawlet Vermont where it was made. This is a wonderful example depicting federal eagles, independence hall accompanied by monkeys. A true statement of politics at that time. This has been in the family’s possession since it was created. The condition is very fine, with only a 1” by 3” stain (Please see photo). No holes or tears
