1814 Celebration Invitation Of The Battle At Lake Placid With Thomas McDonough

This historic letter from a committee in Plattsburgh informs General Benjamin Mooers, that a dinner will commence in the celebration of general Thomas Macdonough’s victory over the British in the battle of Plattsburgh. And will be held at Israel Green Tavern. Dated September 21, 1814.

This letter is signed by five individuals, including John Warford, who is aid to Benjamin Mooers during the war.
