Vintage DOMAIN NEPTUNUS REX 1948 USS Ship Nautical Butterfly Wing TRAY

Vintage DOMAIN of NEPTUNUS REX Butterfly Tray; dated 1948; Ship the USS Del Aires sailing from New Orleans to Argentina. Passenger ESTHER N. CRAWFORD. The Del Aires was a merchant ship that sailed between New Orleans, LA and Brazil, Argentina. The Neptunus Rex is a certificate commemorating a person's first crossing of the equator. It is signed and dated Jan 1, 1948. The document is under glass in a beautiful genuine wood tray with butterfly wing decoration around the border. All is in EXCELLENT CONDITION; no damage to document or tray except for a bit of butterfly wing loss at the center bottom (see photos) and a tiny spot of the top border. Not very noticeable because of the pattern. Overall size of the tray is 24 1/2" x 15 1/4" from handle to handle. A great historic piece!
