Item Description

Working, clockwork mechanism housed in cast iron, with a brass key wind. The decoy is wooden with jeweled implements set into the wood. This item is all original and was used as a Lark, bird decoy in the 1800's. When wound, the wooden bird like figure moves to the right and left, catching the sun rays on the jewels. The shiny jewels would attract the Larks. 8" x 7.5" x 2.5"
