Featuring art and sculptures of Ellen Selden who worked, studied and exhibited in New York, Nantucket and Europe. Celebrated as a painter and sculptor, her landscape paintings are sun-drenched evocations of time and place. Working in bronze, Selden's sculptures are both powerful and delicate. They have a life force which takes the observer by surprise. Her figures of children and animals seem always on the threshold of motion.

Ellen Selden had a long career as an artist in all mediums with many one woman gallery shows including NYC Madison Avenue Galleries Crespi, Roko, Pocker Galleries, Berkshire Playhouse in Stockbridge, Mass, the Galleria Schneider in Rome, Sailors Valentine Gallery, the Main Street Gallery and the Little Gallery all in Nantucket, Dartmouth College, and many more. Ellen received numerous awards including the Amelia Peabody Award, National Association of Women Artists, received an Honorary PhD for her work, asked by President Eisenhower to paint his private home, studied in Italy at the Positano Workshop, the Ecole des Beaux Arts in Fontainebleau France, the Art School at Cini Foundation, St Giorgio, Venice and the Instituto San Miguel in Mexico.
