TERMS: ALL SALES ARE FINAL. All items are sold AS IS, WHERE IS. We do not accept returns, credits or exchanges. Bidders are strongly encouraged to ask any questions prior to bidding. We do our best to examine and accurately describe the items as they are presented to us. However, we cannot guarantee authenticity, type of artwork, or that the items are free of defects, wear and tear. Please refer to photos as part of the description. SJD Auctions will do its best to list any damage, repairs or restorations. The absence of these descriptions / conditions do not imply that the item is in perfect condition. Most of the items SJD Auctions sells are vintage, antique or used. Please expect signs of wear consistent with age / use. We will not issue refunds or accept returns due to winning bidder's failure to look at the photographs or read the descriptions. By bidding on our items you are agreeing to these terms.
BUYER'S PREMIUM: 20% for credit cards. We will not be accepting cash or checks for this particular auction.
PAYMENT: Payment is due upon receipt of invoice and will be charged to your credit card on file. Any other forms of payment must be approved by SJD Auctions. If you are a dealer, please upload your tax exempt certificate upon registration and email a copy to sjdauctions@outlook.com. If you do not have a valid tax ID on file you will be charged tax. If a payment is declined for any reason, buyer must submit payment no later than Friday, March 17th at 5PM or risk being permanently blocked from bidding on future auctions.
IN-PERSON PICK-UP: Pick-ups will be held at a residence located in a private community within Highland, New York, just minutes from the Mid-Hudson Bridge. Following the auction, an email will be sent to all winning bidders with the pickup location and instructions. Please read it in its entirety, as there is a specific process that must be followed.
Pick-up for this auction is by appointment only. Following the sale, appointments will be scheduled by phone. All pickups will occur between the hours of 11AM-4PM on Saturday, March 18th ONLY. If you cannot retrieve your items on the designated pick-up day, please send someone in your place or do not bid. Once the pick-up window has ended, any unclaimed items will be automatically forfeited without refund, no exceptions, so please make sure to arrive in time.
SHIPPING: Limited shipping will be offered on small to medium size items. Please look for lots that have a small black & white "package" at the top right corner of the item listing. These items have been pre-approved for in-house or third party shipping. If you are not sure if an items qualifies for shipping, please contact us prior to bidding. We will not transport / store / ship any items that have not been pre-approved for shipping. PLEASE DO NOT ASSUME THAT WE KNOW YOU REQUIRE SHIPPING - ALL SHIPPING REQUESTS MUST BE SUBMITTED NO LATER THAN 5PM ON FRIDAY, MARCH 17TH TO AVOID FORFEITURE.
Small to medium items will be shipped via USPS First Class or Priority Mail, FedEx OR UPS Ground / Home Delivery, or via other USPS services such as Media Mail when appropriate. Once your items are packed and weighed, we will contact you with the actual shipping cost. Please note, we cannot provide a shipping quote until after the auction closes, when we have an exact weight and box dimension to input into the delivery database. Due to the volume of shipment requests, it may take us 2-5 days to provide a shipping invoice, which will be sent via email through Stripe (our credit card processing company). Once your items are packed and labeled, we will send a confirmation email to your e-mail address on file with tracking information. If the volume of an order exceeds what we can handle in-house, we may opt to refer you to a third-party shipper.
Please confirm your Auction Ninja address on file is correct as we will ONLY be shipping to the shipping address on your account. Any additional cost incurred because of an incorrect address will be the responsibility of the buyer. We will bill your Auction Ninja card on file through Stripe, or you can pay directly through PayPal - if you choose the PayPal option, we will email you the PayPal address. We will assess a $15.00 handling fee per package to cover materials used / labor costs / credit card processing fees, in addition to the actual shipping cost. If the shipping invoice is not paid within 10 days of receipt, bidder agrees to forfeit the items without refund.
All items shipped in-house by SJD Auctions will include insurance coverage. Should items arrive damaged, buyer must contact the delivery service directly to file an insurance claim. Buyer agrees that SJD Auctions is not responsible for lost, stolen or broken items. Additionally, buyer agrees that SJD Auctions is not responsible if the buyer's insurance claim is denied.
