Lot 239 - 1940s Butter Cheese Cutter Slicer Pad Maker - Makes 60 Pads - German New Old Stock In Original Box -

Vintage metal butter cutter pad maker that makes 60 pads. This was bought on eBay in 1998 and was listed as a U.S. Army issue item. This comes with extra cutting wires, roll of wire and tool. Also included is a vintage new in box butter knife for butter shaping made in Germany.

Vintage 1940's 60 Block Butter Pat Cutter Slicer in Green, for butter sold in 1-pound blocks. For cutting butter "pats" one had to cut them into equal portions economically if one had a small cafe or restaurant. First the butter was cut into 4 "sticks" lengthwise with the wire cutter that moves horizontally and then into 60 equal portions with the cutter that is pushed vertically down the shaft.
