Vintage red porcelain and metal cage lotus shoe - maker’s mark (DP71)
Maker’s mark stamped into its base.
Approx 5” wide x 2 3/8” high
No idea how old this is but there is some wear to the base which I hope is an indicator of age. Research online says similar were originally made for export in the late 1700’s as the Princess of Prussia had small feet. Of course, they must have continued to be made after that and I cannot date these.
