Vintage Lotus Rocking Wooden Soled Shoes (DP72)

Vintage Lotus rocking wooden soled shoes (DP72)
Approx 8 ¼” across.
From research, I believe these may be ‘rocking’ shoes from a region in China where women did not bind their feet but wore these shoes as they helped produce a motion to their walking which was similar to that of women with bound feet.
The soles, uppers and interiors are damaged so please look at the images carefully. They have been worn!
