Vintage Chinese embroidered pale green silk lotus foot shoes – bird cherry blossom (DP77)
Soles are approx. 4 ½” long and the shoes are approx. 3” high.
The silk is very soft. It is a little grubby and has faded over time as you can see the stronger color under the heel tab. The silk has split on one of the heels.
The heel block is covered in cream silk. I’m not sure what the sole is but it looks a little like a glazed cotton and is of two different kinds. The delicate bird and cherry blossom embroidery is still in a good condition. Each shoe has cotton ladder threads across its top. A couple of threads have broken on one of them. There are bound cotton thread loops on each ankle.
